01 / The palette

Six colors, one atmosphere.

Choose a palette recipe

Screen colors are authored interpretations. Material photographs show surface character; they are not calibrated color samples.

02 / Play with the composition

One red, many textures.

Let one red appear in several textures. Glass makes a bright point, ribbon makes a soft fold and an apple makes a quiet solid shape. Straw and pine give those reds breathing room.

Sources & interpretation

Silent Night was first performed in Oberndorf near Salzburg in 1818. The study imagines an Alpine domestic Christmas through pine, red glass, straw and green tile; it does not reproduce a museum interior.

The palette follows the authored material references in this collection. Room, object and material imagery were created for this study. These are imagined settings, with no affiliation to the fictional interface brands.

The controls explore screen composition, not physical pigment recipes or material measurements. Image rights · Image permissions
