Cotto, linen & the warmth of a Tuscan room.
Two earthy recipes bring terracotta, pale travertine and washed cloth into the same sun-warmed home.

Screen colors are authored interpretations. Material photographs show surface character; they are not calibrated color samples.
02 / Play with the composition
Let the stone make room for the clay.
Give the pale stone enough area to separate the clay colours. Repeat terracotta between wall, floor and vessel, then keep the cloth simple. A dark timber or umber detail makes the lighter surfaces easier to read.

Sources & interpretation
Impruneta’s iron-rich clay has a long tradition of being shaped and fired into tiles, pots and vessels. This imagined Tuscan home places warm cotto beside pale travertine, washed linen and olive wood.
