Venetian Blush
Rose plaster, velvet & the light between.
A softly lit room of rose plaster, pink stone and burgundy velvet, where small gilt details hold the light.

01 / The palette
Six colors, one atmosphere.
Screen colors are authored interpretations. Material photographs show surface character; they are not calibrated color samples.
02 / Play with the composition
Give burgundy a little breathing room.
Give the pale surfaces the largest area. A single low velvet piece can anchor an otherwise blush room; marble and terrazzo introduce smaller changes without adding another dominant colour.

Palazzo Mocenigo houses Venice’s Study Centre for the History of Textiles and Costume. This palette brings that attention to cloth into an imagined room of blush plaster, velvet and stone.
The palette follows the authored material references in this collection. Room, object and material imagery were created for this study. These are imagined settings, with no affiliation to the fictional interface brands.
