Paris Observatory
Moon prints, blue slate & a brass eyepiece.
A silver lunar plate becomes the centre of a Parisian reading room: cool paper, dark velvet and a little polished brass at the edge of the night.

01 / The palette
Six colors, one atmosphere.
Screen colors are authored interpretations. Material photographs show surface character; they are not calibrated color samples.
02 / Play with the composition
Let one moon print hold the room.
Treat the lunar print as the main event. Keep the paper and moonstone tones broad, use blue-black slate for depth, and let brass act like a small point of light. Change the engraved pattern spacing and metal emphasis below.

Sources & interpretation
Inspired by the lunar photographic atlases held in the Paris Observatory digital library. The illustration, lunar print, room and fictional interface are newly authored and do not reproduce a specific historical plate or Observatory interior. Moonstone is a terrestrial material used here as a color association.
The palette follows the authored material references in this collection. Room, object and material imagery were created for this study. These are imagined settings, with no affiliation to the fictional interface brands.
The controls explore screen composition, not physical pigment recipes or material measurements. Image rights · Image permissions
