Sources & interpretation

The lunar plate and rooms are original visual interpretations. The phase diagram follows the basic geometry of sunlight on a sphere, in eight representative north-up Northern Hemisphere views. The engraving is decorative, not a labeled surface map, and the selected phase is not a live observation. Seasonal names, lunar phases and material associations are separate ways of approaching the Moon.

The palette follows the authored material references in this collection. Room, object and material imagery were created for this study. These are imagined settings, with no affiliation to the fictional interface brands.

The controls explore screen composition, not physical pigment recipes or material measurements. Image rights · Image permissions
