A seasonal material study / 032
Newgrange Solstice
Quartz, indigo & the first light.
A winter study in cool stone, warm wax and one narrow shaft of dawn, imagined in a contemporary retreat.

01 / The palette
Six colors, one atmosphere.
Screen colors are authored interpretations. Material photographs show surface character; they are not calibrated color samples.
02 / Play with the composition
Let the first light travel.
Keep the warm note small and give it a clear path across the cooler ground. Indigo makes the pale stone feel brighter; the golden interruption works because it does not fill the whole room.

Sources & interpretation
Around the winter solstice, rising sunlight can enter Newgrange through its roof box and illuminate the passage and chamber. This study is a contemporary material interpretation of cold stone and a narrow warm light, not an archaeological reconstruction.
The palette follows the authored material references in this collection. Room, object and material imagery were created for this study. These are imagined settings, with no affiliation to the fictional interface brands.
The controls explore screen composition, not physical pigment recipes or material measurements. Image rights · Image permissions
