The source / Art history

A month above the scene.

Schifanoia’s August pairs Virgo with Ceres and agricultural imagery, and is attributed to Gherardo da Vicenza. Our figs, lavender, linen, olive wood and wicker extend the harvest theme into a contemporary dining room. The palette is measured from its drawer, not from a photograph of the painting.
